Word of Mouth Marketing: Conventional Marketing Strategies That Are Still Effective

Word of mouth is one of the marketing strategies that has long been used and is still effectively applied today. It is actually interesting. Review as a feedback from consumer can be a powerful tools to make others look up into our brand, product, and some of it. The excitement of someone most of the time cannot be hidden. It is just such a statement when its liked, its truly liked. When we get information, our brain releases dopamine and other feel-good neurotransmitters that can make us more likely to remember and act on it. This marketing strategy can still exist even in the era of all-digital marketing not without reason. Research from McKinsey find that from all over advertising, word of mouth is the primary factor behind 20-50% of all purchasing decisions. That means their decisions based on recommendations, either it from friends, influencer, family, etc. According to a Nielsen survey, 92% of people trust their purchasing decisions to recommendations given by those closest to them.  However, word of mouth still has its own shortcomings.
