We eat for energy.” Food Psychologist Dr. Brian Wansink has found that we make more than 200 decisions about food every day, but we are unaware of 90% of those decisions. In every food we buy, we should know how to read nutritional value information (nutrition facts) that are usually listed on food labels. That way, we will be more aware of what we consume daily, especially the consumption of sugar and fat. The sheer number of options on the shelves at grocery stores and supermarkets is a race against the time everyone has to choose. Not everyone is willing to take the time to pay attention to the composition and even the nutrients contained in what they buy. As long as it tastes good, take it to the cashier.
