Fear is man’s greatest enemy. Transitioning into adulthood is no exception. A person gets more pressure both socially and from within themselves. Fear grows because there is prestige, pride, and expectations that must be “realized”. Becoming an adult is often not understood as a process.
Reality breaks expectations, leading to the additional perception that becoming an adult is difficult. As if in facing the adult phase, one must go through and understand it alone without anyone’s help. The measure of maturity in general is usually seen from the age level.
However, emotionally, age does not always reflect one’s maturity. Social pressure usually spurs one to mature age-wise but not emotionally. The phase of understanding self and goals is also a common difficulty in the phase of becoming an adult.
